Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing - Captain Dusty
Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing - Captain Dusty
Captain Dusty is a sixth-generation fisherman from Lee County. He was raised on the water, spending his summers catching bait for his grandfather, Cappy Joiner, and tarpon fishing with him in Boca Grande Pass.
His grandfather built the Sally J in 1977, a 24’ Morgan designed for the pass, and Captain Dusty still runs her today. The boat is a piece of family history and a proven tarpon platform that’s been earning its keep for decades.
Captain Dusty fishes Boca Grande Pass the traditional way, with respect for the fish, the resource, and the history of the fishery. He is the Vice President of the Boca Grande Guides Association and takes pride in doing things right, both on and off the water.
This is tarpon fishing as it’s always been done - honest, experienced, and earned.
